y2k error in nasa temperature study



Y2K Error in NASA Temperature Study

Jim Hansen had some sort of Y2K error in handling historical

temperature records and now a corrected version of US average

temperature shows that 1934 not 1998 was the warmest year this

century. While the error is a small one, climate change advocates had

seized on the erroneous data to support their hypothesis that the

Earth is warming due to man's influence. It may still be but the case

is weaker now. Kudos to NASA for correcting the error.
